After coming back from Israel and watching the 470 Worlds from NZ was an interesting experience, talking to the teams daily.
Both teams I was working with had their best Worlds results with the Finnish in 5th and the Canadians in 32nd; having a great regatta after their first 4 races.
Next week it is off to Argentina with some slightly different racing for the 49er Worlds with the USA team of Brad Funk and Trevor Burd.
Since being back in Auckland we French Bay and Kohi Yacht Clubs have started their coaching programmes for the season and the NZ Optimist association work has been busy as well, getting things in place.
On the Doyle NZ front things here are going well, and things are getting busy in the build up to Santa arriving!
Family sailing is going well with the Sunburst in for some updates in preparation for the North Islands (2 days after arriving back from Argentina) and the Jollyboat feels awesome (although we haven’t sailed against anyone else), however the first regatta of the season for us is the Sir Peter Blake Regatta the weekend after the Sunburst NI’s in Napier.
More news when in Argentina!
